Ingredients
1 1/4 cup flour (use 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 oat flour)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pie spice
pinch of salt
1 cup almond milk
2 tbsp canola oil
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp apple sauce
3 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup coarsely grated carrots
Recipe Steps
Preheat waffle iron.
Mix all dry ingredients together in large bowl.
Combine all wet ingredients in a liquid measuring cup.
Mix the shredded carrots into the dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
Mix gently.
Pour 3/4 cup batter into preheated waffle iron.
Cook until done.
Note: Makes 3 waffles
